My wife gave me the HCG Ecto Goggles for Xmas and I know it's for display but has anyone actually modded the straps so it can be worn on the head?

I bought them, and I swapped out the straps for the set sold here on GBFans, and they've been great to wear at events, other than the coating on the face cushion flaking off quite a bit. I've just finished building a set of GBFans goggles, so mine are going back on display.
