I have the electronics from a failed Walmart Trap conversion, and I was wondering if it's possible to fit them in the shell of the still-available Spirit Traps, specifically the door mechanism?

I have both sitting here, and while I haven't opened up my Walmart trap, they're exactly the same on the outside. I'm fairly confident they'd be swapable, but you should probably get a second opinion.

Yes, the door mechanism will fit, HOWEVER, with one issue. The gearing on the motorized one is different that the spirit one as they use a finer teeth mesh. You will have to swap the gearing piece from the spirt to the gearbox. With that being said, the screw holes on the spirt ones don't allow that directly. You will have to swap the screws since the Walmart one are shorter to allow it to screw into the gearbox assembly with another set of screws. Once you look at the actual bomb bay mechanism for both, you will understand.

Possibly..give it a try. That would be the easiest method. I am 3d printing the gearbox assembly so I can just retrofit into the spirit without having the need to have access to the Walmart doors.
