So, I was carrying my packs from the Ecto back to my GB room, one secured on my back and one (my Haslab pack) one-strapping on my left shoulder.

I was walking down my carport, when the quick-release gave way and BAM. Haslab hits the concrete. I got it inside and assessed the damage. The threaded connector took the brunt of the force. It broke on three seams in the plastic and bent but stayed connected on the fourth side.

I was able to set it and repair it with JB weld on the inside. The mother board also got a little mangled from the impact. I hit it with a sander and colored it with sharpie. I then buffed it with a paper towel to blend. I’m strongly considering securing the quick-release with a zip-tie to prevent this from happening again. Luckily, the damage is hidden on the underside of the pack and further camouflaged by the fact that the pack is supposed to look beat to hell anyway. All of the electronics on the pack and wand still work fine.
